Pre-release Amiga development systems…

Before the Amiga 1000 was released to the public, there needed to be a way of software publishers developing for the new machine, and to that effect there were development systems distributed to some software producers before the launch of the Amiga in 1985.

These development systems range from very unlike the released machine, to some that on first glance could be the same as the released machine if you don’t know what to look for.

These development systems are covered here because they are important in the history of the Amiga. This page is for all the development systems, some of which are only being discovered fairly recently at the time of writing this.

Over on Amigalove.com the user intric8 has posted a big write up including lots of photos and video of the Zorro development system he has, this can be viewed at the following link: https://amigalove.com/viewtopic.php?t=1031
